Thargoid Hyperdiction

So today whilst I was travelling towards MAIA, I was hyperdicted by an alien vessel. I had already seen all the forum posts and news articles about our new ‘friend’ and was very curious to see it for myself. After I had engineered my ship with corrosive resistant cargo bays and picked up a few unknown artifacts, I plotted a course for the Aries Dark region, which had reportedly been a hot spot for sightings of the alien ship.

My course was plotted and I had been hyper jumping from system to system for about an hour when suddenly it happened. My ships modules went offline and I had no control of my ship. The sticks went dead, all controls were offline and I was sat in space slowly freezing to death. Then this gigantic ship appeared from the left side of my ship.

It proceeded to fly in front my ship, then turned towards me and with a flutter of its wings made a loud scary sound. Then a bright yellow hue shone and what I can only describe as tentacles started to zap my ship. I could see particles of something being sucked towards the alien ship into its center module. My thirst thought was, wow this is awesome! then, who are you? then I started to wonder what they were looking for? then …  so many thoughts in a nano second.

But then, the alien craft simply stopped scanning me, turned and flew off into the distance, where a worm hole opened up, or a shift in time space continuum, and the alien ship simply hyper jumped out. My ships modules came back online and my ship and more importantly the pilot – ME! was fine. I checked my cargo hold and the unknown probes and unknown fragments were still on-board.

So many questions

  • What was it looking for?
  • Am I trouble?
  • Was that an alien scout ship?
  • Where did it come from?
  • What is it?
  • What the hell just happened!!

Whatever that ship was, it seemed to be looking for something, it didn’t appear to be hostile and I have heard in some cases that the alien ship simply repairs your ship and flies away.

What next?

Well, depending on who you speak to, we should either shoot to kill, before the ship can tell anyone of humankind’s existence, or we should lay down our missiles and ask them in for a cup of tea. As my friends know, I love a good cup of tea . . .

One thing is for sure, what we do next, will determine the outcome of many generations to come.
