I just found a great way to gather lots of high grade Engineer components very quickly.

All you need to do if land at the following abandoned mining base :

Hyades Sector DR-V C2-3
Lat : 44.8297
Lon : -31.3914

Drive round the base locate Engineer Components. Drive 1km away from the base, then logout. Login and repeat.

I think they are random, so you could rinse and repeat and gather all you need.
